Mag 6 quake strikes NE of Norfolk Island

There is no immediate tsunami warning and no reports of damage or casualties after a magnitude 6 earthquake struck northeast of Norfolk Island

A shallow earthquake of magnitude 6 has struck northeast of Australia's Norfolk Island, the United States Geological Survey says.

There was no immediate tsunami warning and no reports of damage or casualties from the quake, which hit at a depth of 10 km, about 681km northeast of Norfolk Island.
