Magnitude 4.8 quake strikes off Mexico

A magnitude 4.8 quake has struck off Mexico's Baja California; there have been no reports of damage.

A magnitude 4.8 earthquake has struck in the Gulf of California, east of Mexico's Baja California peninsula, the US Geological Survey says.

Local authorities say there are no reports of damage after the quake on Sunday.

Centred 127km southeast of San Felipe, Mexico, the quake had a depth of 10km, the USGS says.
