Magnitude 5.1 quake hits southwest Turkey

A magnitude 5.1 earthquake has struck southwest Turkey.

An earthquake of magnitude 5.1 has hit southwest Turkey, Turkey's Kandilli Observatory and Earthquake Research Institute says.

The epicentre on Friday's quake was at Aricilar-Ula district, southeast of Mugla province on the Aegean Sea at a depth of 6.3 kilometres, Kandilli Observatory said.

There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage from the quake.
