There is no tsunami risk from a magnitude 5.6 earthquake that shook Darwin this morning, the Bureau of Meteorology says.

A magnitude 5.6 earthquake has rattled Darwin this morning.

The quake, located in the Banda Sea north of Darwin, was felt at 9.06am on Thursday.

There is no tsunami risk, the Bureau of Meteorology says.
