Magnitude 6.3 quake hits off PNG

The US Geological Survey says a magnitude 6.3 quake has struck southeast of Rabaul town in Papua New Guinea.

A magnitude 6.3 earthquake has struck off Papua New Guinea, southeast of Rabaul town, the US Geological Survey says.

The earthquake hit at a depth of 46km. There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties.
