Magnitude 6.6 quake strikes off Indonesia

A magnitude 6.6 earthquake has struck off Indonesia's east coast at a depth of 33 kilometres.

An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.6 struck off the eastern coast of Indonesia, the U.S. Geological Survey says.

The epicentre of the quake on Tuesday was 33 km deep, about 124 km west-northwest of the Molucca islands, it added.

The NOOA Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said it saw no tsunami danger from the quake.
