Collingwood star Jamie Elliott has suffered a fresh setback with the oft-injured forward departing Sunday's VFL match against Geelong before halftime.
Elliott, who has battled a chronic back injury, suffered a pre-season setback when he underwent ankle surgery in November.
He then sustained a hamstring injury in April and was playing his first game at VFL level, but the Pies confirmed, via their official Twitter account, he was being assessed for an undisclosed injury and would not return for the second half.
