Collingwood have taken an AFL finals punt on Tyson Goldsack, recalling the veteran for Saturday's qualifying final just six months after having a knee reconstruction.

Goldsack is among three Magpie inclusions for their Perth final against West Coast, with Adam Treloar and Jeremy Howe also returning from lengthy injury absences.

Melbourne co-captain Jack Viney will play his first AFL game in two months in Friday night's elimination final against Geelong.

And Sydney big guns Lance Franklin and Luke Parker return to meet a GWS side featuring Toby Greene, Zac Williams and Brett Deledio in Saturday's knockout final at the SCG.

Magpie Goldsack's return is the major selection shock - the 31-year-old had a knee reconstruction in March and makes his AFL comeback after playing limited minutes in two VFL matches in the past fortnight.

His teammate Treloar has missed the past nine games because of a hamstring tear while Howe has been sidelined the past four matches by a thigh injury.

The trio won recalls at the expense of Jack Madgen, Nathan Murphy and Adam Oxley who were all dropped for the trip to Perth to meet an Eagles side bolstered by the return of spearhead Josh Kennedy from a five-match absence because of a fractured shin.

The Eagles also recalled speedster Lewis Jetta, while Oscar Allen and Will Schofield were both omitted.

Sydney trump cards Franklin and Parker are back after missing the last home-and-away game because of respective groin injuries - they replace dropped duo Jordan Dawson and Robbie Fox for the grudge match against the Giants.

GWS star Greene makes his comeback after missing three matches with a hamstring strain as one of four inclusions for his side, along with Deledio, Matt de Boer and Williams, who will make his AFL return after rupturing an achilles tendon in January.

"It's not as if we have rushed him back, he has just been on schedule," Giants coach Leon Cameron said of Williams.

Cameron dropped Lachlan Keeffe, Jeremy Finlayson, Aiden Bonar and Daniel Lloyd for the knockout final.

Melbourne leader Viney makes his long-awaited return for the cut-throat battle against a Geelong side unchanged from its last game.

The Demons also recalled Mitch Hannan at the expense of Dean Kent (shoulder) and Jay Kennedy Harris (omitted).
