Twenty-three-year-old Mahalia Murphy wants to become a role model for the Indigenous community.
"All I want to do is use my position and profile to inspire kids to chase their dreams," Murphy said.
"Whether it's rugby, athletics or dancing, anyone can reach anything, it's just about them putting the hard work in and having faith."
Like many athletes, she was inspired by Cathy Freeman.
"I was always into running, I was a fast runner when I was little and somehow drifted off into Rugby," Murphy said.
Murphy hopes to follow in the footsteps of her idol.
She will transition back to the Sevens program following the World Cup, and hopes to win gold at next year's Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast and the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.

"That's the ultimate goal, the Olympics," Murphy said.
"Hopefully I can rip-in for the next couple of years and represent Australia in the Commonwealth Games and Tokyo Olympics."
