The Australian Electoral Commission has released information about donations made to political parties for the 2015/16 financial year.

MAJOR SUPPORTERS OF THE LIBERALS

* Total donations $80,163,678

* $1.4 million from mining magnate Paul Marks

* $790,000 from Pratt family private company

* $700,000 from Parakeelia, a party-owned software firm that developed Liberals' consittuent database

* $510,000 from Hong Kong Kingson Investment Company, linked to Chinese-Australian property investor Chau Chak Wing

* $69,502 from retired minister Ian Macfarlane

* $50,000 from Immigration Minister Peter Dutton

* $20,000 from Education Minister Simon Birmingham

* $350,000 from Kooyong Electorate Council (Environment Minister Josh Frydenberg's seat)

* $200,000 from Curtin Liberal Federal Campaign (Foreign Minister Julie Bishop's seat)

* $185,000 from Sturt FEC (Defence Industry Minister Christopher Pyne's seat)

* $170,00 from Finance Minister Mathias Cormann's campaign

MAJOR SUPPORTERS OF THE NATIONALS

* $133,900 from Manildra Group

* $100,000 from Ognis horse farms

* $70,000 from Trepang Services, controlled by Darwin developer John Robinson and Nick Paspaley

* $58,000 from Gina Rinehart's Hancock Prospecting

MAJOR SUPPORTERS OF LABOR

* Total donations $60,973,958

* $1.79 million from the Shop, Distributive and Allied Employees Association

* $1.28 million from United Voice union

* $1 million from CFMEU

* $576,196 from Australian Manufacturing Workers' Union

* $484,170 from CPSU

* $389,232 from Health Services Union

MAJOR SUPPORTERS OF THE GREENS

* $630,000 from Wotif founder Graeme Wood

* $500,000 from mathematician and high-end gambler Duncan Turpie

* $320,000 form Electrical Trades Union

* $150,000 from academic Kemran Mestan

* $100,000 from estate of scientist and environmentalist Louise Crossley

* $100,000 from Anna Hackett

* $6200 from Senator Scott Ludlam

MINOR PARTIES

Liberal Democrats:

* $200,000 from Senate candidate Roostam Sadri, who was investigated for allegedly offering a donation in exchange for being able to run

* $50,000 from Senator David Leyonhjelm

* $20,000 from tobacco company Philip Morris

One Nation:

* $190,000 loan from Senator Pauline Hanson

Derryn Hinch's Justice Party

* $16,000 from Senator Derryn Hinch

* $15,000 from economist Ross Garnaut

Jacqui Lambie Network

* $25,700 from Australian Institute of Marine and Power Engineers

* $25,000 from Electrical Trades Union

* $250,000 from Senator Nick Xenophon
