Australia full-back James Tedesco has been joined by England winger Tom Makinson on a four-man shortlist for the 2018 Golden Boot.

Makinson's hat-trick heroics against New Zealand in their 20-14 win earned the St Helens player the nod, after he also scored in the first Test last week.

He is up against Sydney Roosters star Tedesco, England teammate Elliott Whitehead and Kiwi skipper Dallin Watene-Zelezniak for the gong.

The award, which recognises the most outstanding performances in international matches, will be presented at the Rugby League International Federation Golden Boot award dinner in Leeds on Wednesday.

Australians have won the award for the last three years with three-time winner Johnathan Thurston (2015), Cooper Cronk (2016) and dual-winner Cameron Smith victorious in 2017.
