A man will face a Sydney court accused of putting rat poison in his partner's coffee.

The poison was allegedly found in the 32-year-old woman's coffee after she'd drunk several cups of it at her Wilton home in Sydney's southwest in May.

She was taken to hospital as a precaution.

A man, 37, has been arrested and charged with using poison to endanger life and administering poison to intend injury.

He has been granted conditional bail and will face Camden Local Court on August 29.
