NSW Police say a man and his 10-year-old daughter have been found "safe and well" after they went missing in deep snow while snowboarding near Thredbo ski resort in NSW.
The man called emergency services from his mobile phone, which had limited battery, after the pair became separated from their snowboarding group and a search was launched.
An NSW Police spokesperson said they were eventually located by their friends and met by emergency services.
A Thredbo spokesperson said the father and daughter had been missing outside the resort's boundaries and could not confirm whether they had been staying at the park.
"People go out backcountry all the time and they may or may not start within the resort," she said.

An NSW Ambulance spokesperson said the search involved police, fire and rescue and paramedic services.
"There's been a huge dump of snow this afternoon which is making it challenging, [but] we're really hopeful we'll be able to locate them before the sun sets this evening," NSW Ambulance Superintendent Jordan Emery told 2GB earlier on Monday, adding that they were missing in "very rugged terrain"
The search comes two days after a man was killed when hit a tree branch while skiing at the resort.
