A man is in hospital with severe burns after a boat exploded on Parramatta River in Sydney's inner west.
The vessel caught fire near Birkenhead Point Marina at Drummoyne just before 9am on Monday, creating a large plume of black smoke.
Police, paramedics and a CareFlight team attended and treated a 41-year-old man, who suffered burns to about 30 per cent of his body.
He was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital in a stable condition.
