Man charged after NSW Liberal branch brawl

A 27-year-old Arncliffe man faces charges after a brawl at a Liberal Party branch meeting in southern Sydney last week.

A man has been charged over a brawl at a Liberal Party branch meeting in southern Sydney last week.

Police were called to a kebab shop in Arncliffe about 7pm on June 18, with officers saying they saw "numerous people running from the location".

A 27-year-old Arncliffe man was arrested after attending a police station about 2pm on Tuesday and charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm in company of others, assaulting an officer in execution of duty and resisting an officer in execution of duty.

He was granted conditional bail to appear at Sutherland Local Court in August.
