Man charged over baby poisoning in Qld

A man has been charged after allegedly poisoning a two-month-old baby on the Gold Coast.

A man will face court after the alleged poisoning of a baby on the Gold Coast.

Police say a two-month-old girl was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital on Sunday night after she was allegedly administered a drug.

The baby is in a stable condition.

A 22-year-old man from the Gold Coast suburb of Carrara has been charged with one count of administering poison with intent to harm and possession of a controlled substance.

He'll face the Southport Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
