Man charged over death of Qld socialite

Police have charged a man with murder over the death of a woman who was found in her Brisbane apartment.

A 63-year-old man has been charged with murder over the death of Brisbane socialite Maureen Boyce.

Police were called to an apartment at Kangaroo Point on Thursday morning where they found Ms Boyce's body.

The 63-year-old man, who had been staying with the 68-year-old woman, was charged on Friday and has been summoned to face Brisbane Magistrates Court on Saturday.

Ms Boyce was a successful model in the 1960s and 70s when she went by her maiden name Maureen Madden.
