Man charged over fatal hit and run in NSW

A man has been charged over the death of a driver who was fatally struck while changing a tyre in NSW's central west.

A man has been charged over a fatal hit-and-run road incident in NSW's central west last week.

The 51-year-old is accused of fatally striking a man who was changing a car tyre near Coolah on June 9, then driving to a home before contacting police.

The 52-year-old victim died in hospital.

The accused man is due to appear in the Mudgee Local Court in September charged with failing to stop and assist after a vehicle impact causing death, and altering the concentration of blood before sample.
