Man charged over hit-and-run toddler death

A 30-year-old man has been charged over a hit and run in Perth that killed a 22-month-old boy last week.

A man has been charged after a hit-and-run in Perth's north that left a 22-month-old boy dead.

The toddler was struck out the front of a Merriwa home just after 5pm on Friday and was rushed to hospital but died a short time later.

A 30-year-old man from Yanchep has been charged with failing to report an incident occasioning bodily harm, stealing a motor vehicle and driving without a licence.
