Man charged over Vic police car crash

A man has been charged after his car smashed into three police vehicles parked outside a Melbourne police station.

A man faces multiple charges after a car smashed into three empty police vehicles outside a Melbourne police station, injuring a passenger in the car.

The car first crashed into a police van, which then hit two patrol cars parked outside Dandenong police station just after 7am on Thursday.

The driver, 34-year-old Saravanan Rajasakaram of no fixed address, will appear in Dandenong Magistrates Court on Friday to face charges including three counts of endangering life and criminal damage.

The passenger, a 30-year-old man of no fixed address, is still in hospital.

No police officers were in the vehicles at the time.
