A man will face court over an incident in which a police officer was hit by a car at a roadblock on a Melbourne highway.

A man has been charged after a police officer was run down by a car at a roadblock on a Melbourne highway.

The senior constable was hit by a car on Wednesday after officers signalled to the driver to pull over.

A Wantirna man, 30, will appear in the Melbourne Magistrates Court on Sunday on charges including conduct endangering life, recklessly causing injury and failing to stop after an accident.
