A man has been charged with entering a Royal Australian Navy base in Sydney.

A man has been charged with trespassing on a Sydney navy base.

The 34-year-old was arrested by federal officers after allegedly walking onto the Garden Island base in Woolloomooloo on Friday morning.

He has been bailed to appear at Downing Centre Local Court later this month charged with trespassing on prohibited commonwealth land.
