A 20-year-old man has been charged with the stabbing murder of north Sydney man Morgan Huxley.

Mr Huxley was found with multiple stab wounds at his Neutral Bay unit in the early hours of September 8 and died of his injuries.

Strike Force Bandt detectives on Tuesday arrested a 20-year-old man who lives near Mr Huxley and have charged him with murder as well as a stealing offence.

He was refused bail to appear at Central Local Court on Tuesday afternoon.

Mr Huxley, 31, had been found wounded in his bedroom.

Police were reported to have been investigating whether a woman who was in a relationship with Mr Huxley may have been involved.
