A 62-year-old man has been charged with the murder of a 67-year-old woman whose body was found at an apartment in Sydney's south.
The man was refused bail and is set to appear in Sutherland Local Court on Tuesday.
He was charged after a regular visitor found the woman unconscious in the Penshurst unit about 11am on Monday and contacted police.
Officers found the man with non-life-threatening injuries and charged him with murder after his release from hospital five hours later.
Police refused to comment on whether drugs were potentially involved in the woman's death.
