Man critical in Syd, partner behind bars

A woman accused of stabbing her partner with a knife in a Sydney home has been remanded in custody while the man remains in a critical condition.

A woman accused of stabbing her partner in the heart at a Sydney home has not applied for bail and will remain behind bars.

Qian Liu, 34, faced Burwood Local Court on Monday charged with wounding a person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

Her partner, Han Lim Chin, 39, remains in a critical condition at St George Hospital following the alleged domestic incident on Sunday night at Narwee in Sydney's southwest.

In court documents tendered on Monday, police allege Liu stabbed the 39-year-old with a knife.

The pair have one child, who was not present when the man was allegedly stabbed.

Liu is expected to apply for bail at Burwood Local Court on Friday.
