Man dead after jumping off SA bridge

The body of a 20-year-old man has been recovered after he jumped from an Adelaide bridge into the Murray River.

A 20-year-old man has died after jumping from an Adelaide bridge into the Murray River.

Police divers found the man's body about 3.30pm on Sunday after he jumped from the old Blanchetown Bridge on Sunday.

Authorities were called to the scene by the Hillbank man's friends shortly after 11am.

Police, the State Emergency Service, Marine Safety Officers and locals used jetskis to try and find the man.

Police will now prepare a report for the coroner.
