Man dead, another injured after SA crash

A 74-year-old man is dead and his passenger has been flown to hospital after a crash in South Australia.

A 74-year-old man is dead and his passenger has been flown to hospital after a car and truck crashed in the Murray Mallee region in South Australia.

The car and truck crashed on the Sturt Highway at the intersection with Diagonal Road on Friday afternoon.

The Riverland man who was driving the car died at the scene and his 30-year-old male passenger was flown to the Royal Adelaide hospital in a serious but stable condition.

The two people in the truck were not physically injured and the crash is being investigated.
