Man dies in Far North Queensland crash

Forensic specialists are investigating a crash on the northern tip of Cape York in Queensland that left a middle aged man dead.

A man has died after rolling his four-wheel drive off a far north Queensland road.

The 46-year-old was travelling through New Mapoon, on the northern tip of Cape York, when his car left the road and rolled on Saturday morning, police say.

He died at the scene.

Forensic specialists are investigating.
