Man dies in Melbourne concrete truck crash

A man has died after the car he was travelling in collided with a concrete truck at a major intersection in Croydon in eastern Melbourne.

A man has died after the car he was travelling in collided with a concrete truck in Melbourne.

The man died at the scene - at the intersection of Mount Dandenong Rd and Dorset Rd in Croydon - shortly after 9am on Tuesday.

The car driver and the truck driver were both uninjured in the accident that took the state's provisional road toll to eight, five less than at the same time last year.
