A 63-year-old man has died in a work-related incident at building supplies plant in the Queensland's southeast.

The man had become trapped between machinery overnight at James Hardie Building Supplies in Carole Park, southeast of Brisbane.

The company confirmed the man's death was now under investigation by Workplace Health and Safety Queensland.
