Man dies snorkelling at a Perth beach

A snorkeller has died despite the efforts of Perth beachgoers who dragged him from the ocean and tried to resuscitate him.

A man has died while snorkelling at a Perth beach.

Several people dragged the 35-year-old man to shore and tried to resuscitate him before an ambulance arrived, but he died.

Police have appealed for witnesses to the incident at Mettams Pool at North Beach on Saturday morning to contact them.
