Man drowns at Palm Beach in Sydney

A man has died after being pulled unconscious from the water at Sydney's Palm Beach.

A man in his 20s has drowned at Palm Beach on Sydney's northern beaches while swimming with family.

The man got into difficulty and disappeared from sight, sparking an air and sea search on Friday afternoon.

He was pulled unconscious from the water by a rescue boat and was given CPR, but could not be saved, Surf Life Saving NSW said.
