Man falls 10m into ship's hull in WA

A man has fallen 10 metres into the hull of a ship in Bunbury, possibly after being overcome by fumes, police say.

A man has been taken to hospital after falling 10 metres into the hull of a ship in the West Australian port of Bunbury.

WA police believe he became overcome by fumes around 6.30am (WST) on Monday.

The man was trapped for some time at the bottom of the ship and was resuscitated before being taken to Bunbury Regional Hospital.

His injuries are not believed to be serious.
