Man gored by deer in NSW's royal park

A 57-year-old man has been badly hurt after he was gored by a deer in the NSW's Royal National Park.

A man has suffered chest and stomach wounds after he was gored by a stag in the Royal National Park in NSW.

The 57-year-old man was trying to scare away several stags near his home in Otford on Friday afternoon when one charged at him piercing his chest and abdomen with its antler.

The man was airlifted to hospital with a collapsed lung and internal injuries and is in a stable condition following surgery.
