Man in court over alleged child murder

Graham Dillon has been remanded in custody over the alleged murder of his eight year old son in Canberra.

A man has appeared in a Canberra court charged with the murder of his eight-year-old son.

Graham Stuart Dillon, 37, of Jacka in Canberra's north, is accused of murdering Braydyn Dillon on Monday.

He is also facing three assault charges related to another person alleged to have occurred between January 1 and Tuesday.

Dillon, dressed in shorts and thongs, did not apply for bail when he appeared in the ACT Magistrates Court on Tuesday.

Chief Magistrate Lorraine Walker remanded him in custody to reappear in court on March 1.
