Man in hospital after Byron Bay stabbing

A man has been charged over a stabbing at Byron Bay on the NSW north coast.

A 49-year-old man was stabbed multiple times at Butler Street Reserve on Sunday and flown to Gold Coast Hospital in a critical condition.

A 48-year-old man will face Tweed Heads Local Court on Monday charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
