Man in hospital after Melbourne shooting

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was shot several times in Melbourne's north.

A man's recovering in hospital after being shot a number of times in Melbourne's north.

Emergency services were called to a Parkville property just before midnight on Tuesday, where a 35-year-old man had suffered a number of gun shot wounds to his upper body, police said.

He was taken to Royal Melbourne Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
