Man injured in Sydney hotel robbery

Three men armed with a machete, knife and a pistol have robbed a Sydney pub, assaulting one male patron.

A pub patron has been hurt in an armed robbery at a southwest Sydney hotel.

Three men wearing balaclavas and wielding a machete, a knife and a pistol walked into St George Hotel in Belmore early on Tuesday morning.

They threatened staff and patrons before assaulting one man, who was left with an abrasion to his head.

The trio fled with cash.
