A man has pleaded not guilty to booking a bogus concert in Perth while pretending to represent English DJ Mark Ronson.
Peter Jing Zu Lessnau, 34, appeared in Perth Magistrates Court on Monday, charged with three counts of fraud totalling $4250, and said he would fight the allegations.
Hundreds of fans were disappointed when Ronson, famous for the chart-topping hit Uptown Funk with Bruno Mars, was advertised to appear at Matisse Beach Club on July 25 but never showed.
Ronson was actually in NSW, having played at Splendour in the Grass in Byron Bay the night before.
He denounced the gig on Twitter as a fake and called for ticket holders to get their money back, adding that they could attend his next Perth concert at no cost.

Sean Reid, director of Reid Group, which owns Matisse Beach Club, said in a statement that as soon as they became aware something was amiss, they refunded tickets and contacted the police fraud squad.
Lessnau had his bail renewed and will appear in court again for a one-day trial on May 16.
He dodged reporters outside court, wearing a red hooded jumper that shielded his face, before getting into a taxi.
