Man remanded in custody over Qld shooting

A man has appeared in a Queensland court on a raft of charges relating to an alleged double shooting at a home south of Brisbane last week.

A man charged with attempted murder after an alleged double shooting at a home south of Brisbane has been remanded in custody.

Levi Hooper, 24, faced a raft of charges related to the alleged shooting at Jimboomba in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Tuesday.

He was remanded in custody and the case adjourned to February 18.

Police say a 29-year-old man was shot several times in the abdomen and legs at a home on Abell Road last Thursday, and another man, 35, was shot once in the leg.

Hooper is also charged with entering dwelling with intent to commit an indictable offence, acts intended to maim, dangerous conduct with a weapon, four counts of armed robbery, four counts of deprivation of liberty and two counts of unlawful possession of weapons.
