Man shot by police at Warwick

A man has been shot in the chest in a standoff with officers at a rural property near Warwick.

A man has been shot in the chest by police at a property near Warwick on Queensland's Darling Downs.

It's alleged the 63-year-old was armed and was threatening police at his property at Freestone when he was shot.

An ambulance is on its way to the scene, while the cause of the standoff isn't known at this stage.
