Man shot in Melbourne drive-by

A 19-year-old man is in a critical condition in hospital after he was shot in the neck at Thomastown in Melbourne's north.

A young man is fighting for life after being shot in the neck in Melbourne's north.

Police say the 19-year-old was shot from a car on Dalton Road, Thomastown late on Saturday night.

He was taken to hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.

Police have appealed for any witnesses to come forward.
