Man shot in western Sydney car park

Two men drove away in a black car after allegedly shooting a Sydney man in the legs.

A man is recovering in hospital after being shot in the legs in western Sydney.

Police said they responded to reports that the man, 20, had been shot about 1am (AEDT) on Saturday at Short Street in Liverpool.

The man was shot twice in the legs in the car park of a unit block, police were told.

Police said two men ran from the scene and made a getaway in a black car.

The shot man's injuries are not life-threatening.
