Man steals condoms during Sydney hold-up

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man stole cash, cigarettes and condoms during an armed robbery at a service station in southwestern Sydney.

A gun-wielding robber made sure to grab a few packets of condoms after holding up a service station in Sydney's southwest.

Police say the man, thought to be in his mid-20s, threatened a 20-year-old shop attendant in Mount Pritchard with a firearm on Saturday.

The man demanded cash and cigarettes, and before the man fled the service station, he also "grabbed a few packets of condoms", police said.

He was described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 170 centimetres tall, and wearing a black beanie and runners.

Police urge anyone with information to come forward.
