Man struck by car in northwest Sydney

A 77-year-old Sydney man is in hospital after being struck by a car in West Ryde.

An elderly pedestrian is in hospital after being struck by a car in Sydney's northwest.

The 77-year-old man suffered fractures and lacerations when he was struck about 6pm on Tuesday in West Ryde and was taken to Westmead Hospital.

The driver of the car, a 77-year-old woman, was taken to hospital for mandatory testing and released pending further inquiries.
