Man thrown from car in Sydney crash

A man has been hospitalised with suspected internal injuries after being thrown from a car that crashed in south Sydney.

A man has been thrown from a car after it careered off the road and smashed into a pole, road sign and tree in south Sydney.

Police say the man was one of four passengers inside the car when the driver lost control negotiating a left-hand bend and crashed in Kingsgrove about 6am on Sunday.

He has been taken to St George Hospital for further treatment to suspected internal injuries.

The 34-year-old male driver was breath-tested and hospitalised with facial injuries.

The remaining three passengers refused treatment from paramedics.
