The International Champions Cup is an annual club soccer competition owned by Relevent Sports, a division of sports venture firm RSE ventures based in the United States.

"I've previously competed in America at the She Believes Cup and I'm always humbled by the incredible support of the fans out there," City and England captain Steph Houghton said.

"To have the chance to visit the U.S. with City and meet all our fans is something I know the team is looking forward to."

FA Women's Super League champions City begin their tour of the U.S. with a training camp at Portland, Oregon between July 21 and 26.

Nick Cushing's side will be joined in the camp by girls from the Elite Clubs National League, the competitive league for youth female soccer players in the U.S.

"Everyone at City is looking forward to this summer's pre-season tour to the U.S.," said Gavin Makel, head of women's football at City.

"Competing in an elite tournament is the best preparation for what will be another action-packed season for us."
