Manly's Fonua-Blake to cop NRL suspension

Manly's Addin Fonua-Blake is set to miss one NRL round after being charged with two offences by the match review committee.

Manly's Addin Fonua-Blake is set to for a week on the NRL sidelines for two moments of ill discipline in his side's round one loss to the Wests Tigers.

The Sea Eagles prop was charged by the match review committee with two counts of dangerous contact after he took out Benji Marshall's legs as he kicked and for a cannonball tackle on Russell Packer.

With an early guilty plea, both charges would attract 90 demerit points, meaning Fonua-Blake will miss just one match.

He could find himself out for a fortnight if he fights the charge at the judiciary.

The match review committee on Friday signalled they were set to crackdown on players attacking the legs of kickers after they charged Brisbane's Matt Lodge with a grade two offence, for which he is set to miss two weeks.
