Manly's Walker set to face Sydney Roosters

Manly centre Dylan Walker says he will be fit to take on the Sydney Roosters despite suffering an ankle injury against Melbourne.

The sight of Dylan Walker hobbling around Manly training in a moon boot was enough to send a shudder through the club on Tuesday.

However, the Sea Eagles' star centre has declared himself a certain starter for the side's crunch NRL clash with the Sydney Roosters on Sunday.

Walker suffered bone bruising to his left foot and ankle as a result of being accidentally stood on during Sunday's loss to Melbourne.

The 22-year-old will be rested from training during the week but said it won't stop him from running out against the second-placed Roosters at Lottoland on Sunday.

"It's all good man. I just got stood on," Walker told AAP.

"I don't think I told the other boys, I'm pretty embarrassed, but it's just bone bruising. It's pretty swollen so I've just got to stay on top of it, ice it.

"I was making a tackle and it just got stood on. It came out more sore than what it normally is."

The Sea Eagles have endured a disastrous fortnight which has left them clinging to the top eight.

After being beaten by a cumulative score of 92-28 during losses to St George Illawarra and Melbourne over the last two rounds, they could drop to ninth with a defeat to the Roosters.

The Sea Eagles announced themselves as a top eight force with a surprise 18-12 upset of the Roosters in round five and they go into this clash looking to make a similar statement.

"This game is a bit of a test of character of the whole side and where we're at," Walker said.

"We haven't been good the last couple of weeks but we're confident of what we can do.

"We've shown over the season we can compete and even beat the best sides and we've got to get that mojo back."
