Brumbies hooker Josh Mann-Rea has escaped with a one-match Super Rugby suspension for punching Stormers prop Oli Kebble.

Mann-Rea was sent from the field for the incident, in which he punched Keeble twice in the face in the 64th minute of the Brumbies' 31-11 loss in Cape Town on Sunday morning (AEDT).

The 35-year-old reserve hooker avoided a second week on the sideline after receiving a 50 per cent deduction for pleading guilty.

He will miss the Brumbies match against the Cheetahs in South Africa on Sunday morning, before returning to play the Chiefs in Canberra on Saturday, April 2.
